News on Safe Heaton

Thank you to everyone who gave us their feedback on the initial ideas for a safer, cleaner and greener Heaton.

We have taken that into consideration in deciding on the package of measures that are now being trialled in the area or in some cases, about to be the subject of a consultation on a permanent scheme (a proposed new crossing over Heaton Park Road with associated closures at Wandsworth Road & Mowbray Street and a closure at South View West).

Please go to our new consultation platform which can be found at www.newcastle.gov.uk/neighbourhoods to have your say on whether these trials should become permanent or not – this consultation is open until 23rd April 2023.
